Ascension's Seton Medical Center-Williamson in Round Rock, TX is hiring an MRI Technologist to perform diagnostic imaging in the Imaging department on days, full-time. You’ll operate MRI equipment, ensure patient comfort, and coordinate with the care team to deliver accurate studies.

Ideal candidates hold MRI-related credentials, valid BLS, and radiology certifications, with strong safety practices and data handling in EHR/PACS. Join Ascension for growth and patient-centered care.

Formación

• BLS Provider certification within 1 month of hire date.
• NMTCB/ARRT/ARDMS/ARMRIT credentials required or eligible.
• MRI specialty credentialing as applicable (General Practice radiologic tech credentials accepted).

Responsabilidades

• Perform high-quality diagnostic imaging as an MRI Technologist by accurately selecting technical parameters to produce precise cross-sectional body scans.
• Deliver patient care by pre-screening for metal safety, scheduling, and providing education to ensure comfort during examinations.
• Coordinate with the interdisciplinary team to provide direct patient care while following safety protocols and clinical guidelines.
• Manage clinical documentation and image transfers within the EHR and PACS to ensure data integrity and prompt diagnostic reporting.
• Lead quality improvement by verifying image accuracy and patient history to support diagnosis and treatment.

How you’ll make an impact in this role

• Perform high-quality diagnostic imaging as an MRI Technologist by accurately selecting technical parameters to produce precise cross-sectional body scans.
• Deliver exceptional patient care by conducting pre-screening for metal safety, scheduling, and providing education to ensure comfort during examinations.
• Coordinate with the interdisciplinary team to provide direct patient care while strictly adhering to safety protocols and clinical guidelines.
• Manage clinical documentation and image transfers within the EHR and PACS to ensure data integrity and prompt diagnostic reporting.
• Lead quality improvement efforts by verifying image accuracy and patient history to support effective diagnosis and treatment for all pathologies.

What Minimum Requirements You’ll Need

Licensure / Certification / Registration

• Required Credential(s):
  • BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
  • One or more of the following:
    • Nuclear Medical Tech credentialed from the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
    • Radiologic Technologist specializing in Magnetic Resonance Imaging credentialed from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date. Radiography (R), Nuclear Medicine Technology (N), Sonography (S) or Vascular Sonography (VS) also accepted.
    • Medical Sonographer credentialed from the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date. Any specialty is acceptable.
    • Technologist specializing in Magnetic Resonance Imaging credentialed from the American Registry of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologists (ARMRIT) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.

• Preferred Credential(s):
• Radiologic Technologist specializing in General Practice credentialed from the Texas Medical Radiologic Technologist Certification Program.

Education

• High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's degree/Technical degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
