Job summary

Piedmont Atlanta Hospital is seeking an MRI Technologist to perform diagnostic MR examinations under the supervision of a Radiologist. The role requires safety adherence and proficiency in advanced MR imaging procedures across neonatal to geriatric patients.

Qualified candidates will hold AMA-approved radiologic technology education, ARRT MRI certification, and BCLS. One year of MRI experience is required, with ongoing safety and quality standards in a hospital setting.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an AMA approved Radiologic Technology program Required or
• Graduate of JRCERT accredited hospital-based training program Required
• 1 year experience as an MRI Technologist Required
• ARRT Radiography Certification Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technology in Radiography (R) (MR) Upon Hire Required
• Advanced certification by the ARRT in MRI (MR) Upon Hire Required
• BCLS - Basic Life Support Upon Hire Required

Responsibilities

• Magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) technologists utilize the resonant frequency properties of atoms within a magnetic field to image anatomic and/or physiologic conditions of the body to assist physicians in the diagnosis of disease.
• MR technologists perform diagnostic magnetic resonance examinations in accordance with all prescribed standards under the direct guidance of the supervising Radiologist.
• MR Technologists provide patient care to all age groups to include neonatal, pediatrics, adult, and geriatrics.
• Adheres to all safety requirements for magnetic safety.
• Demonstrates ability to perform advance MR imaging procedures and is competent/proficient with cross-sectional anatomy and physiology.
• Provides more complex technical care necessary to meet identified patient needs.
