Job summary

Piedmont Atlanta Hospital is seeking an MRI Technologist to perform diagnostic MR examinations under the supervision of a Radiologist. You will image neonatal through geriatric patients with a focus on safety and image quality.

Required are ARRT MRI and Radiography certifications, BCLS, and at least 1 year of MRI experience; strong cross-sectional anatomy knowledge and attention to safety are essential to meet patient needs.

Qualifications

• 1 year experience as an MRI Technologist is required.
• ARRT Radiography Certification (R) and Advanced ARRT MRI Certification (MR) required upon hire.
• BCLS - Basic Life Support required upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic MR examinations under the direct guidance of the Radiologist.
• Provide patient care across neonatal to geriatric ages with safety as a priority.
• Maintain high image quality and cross-sectional anatomy understanding to meet patient needs.

Overview

Magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) technologists utilize the resonant frequency properties of atoms within a magnetic field to image anatomic and/or physiologic conditions of the body to assist physicians in the diagnosis of disease. MR technologists perform diagnostic magnetic resonance examinations in accordance with all prescribed standards under the direct guidance of the supervising Radiologist. MR Technologists provide patient care to all age groups to include neonatal, pediatrics, adult, and geriatrics. Adheres to all safety requirements for magnetic safety. Demonstrates ability to perform advance MR imaging procedures and is competent/proficient with cross-sectional anatomy and physiology. Provides more complex technical care necessary to meet identified patient needs.

• Graduate of JRCERT accredited hospital-based training program Required
