Job summary

Piedmont Atlanta Hospital is seeking an MRI Tech II for CV Imaging to perform diagnostic MRI examinations under the direct guidance of the supervising Radiologist. The role involves patient care across all ages, strict adherence to magnetic safety standards, and advanced MR imaging procedures with proficiency in cross-sectional anatomy and physiology.

The candidate will operate MRI equipment, ensure image quality, and support complex imaging needs.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an AMA approved Radiologic Technology program required or graduate of a JRCERT accredited hospital-based training program required.
• 1 year experience as an MRI Technologist required.
• ARRT Radiography Certification Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technology in Radiography (R) and ARRT MRI (MR) advanced certification required on hire.
• BCLS - Basic Life Support required on hire.

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic MRI examinations under the direct guidance of the supervising Radiologist.
• Provide patient care to all age groups, adhering to magnetic safety requirements.
• Demonstrate ability to perform advanced MR imaging procedures with expertise in cross-sectional anatomy and physiology.

MRI Tech II- CV Imaging

Overview:

Magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) technologists utilize the resonant frequency properties of atoms within a magnetic field to image anatomic and/or physiologic conditions of the body to assist physicians in the diagnosis of disease. MR technologists perform diagnostic magnetic resonance examinations in accordance with all prescribed standards under the direct guidance of the supervising Radiologist. MR Technologists provide patient care to all age groups to include neonatal, pediatrics, adult, and geriatrics. Adheres to all safety requirements for magnetic safety. Demonstrates ability to perform advance MR imaging procedures and is competent/proficient with cross-sectional anatomy and physiology. Provides more complex technical care necessary to meet identified patient needs.
