Job summary

Piedmont Atlanta Hospital is seeking an MRI Technologist to perform diagnostic MR examinations under the supervision of a Radiologist. You will ensure patient safety and adapt procedures to neonatal through geriatric patients, while maintaining cross-sectional anatomy proficiency.

The ideal candidate has 1 year of MRI experience and holds ARRT Radiography and MR certifications with BCLS. This is a full-time role based at Piedmont Atlanta Hospital.

Qualifications

• Graduate of AMA approved Radiologic Technology program or JRCERT-accredited hospital training.
• Minimum 1 year experience as an MRI Technologist.
• ARRT Radiography and MR certifications plus BCLS required on hire.

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic MR examinations under direct supervision of the Radiologist.
• Maintain safety and magnetic safety protocols for patients and staff.
• Provide care across neonatal, pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients.
• Demonstrate proficiency in cross-sectional anatomy and physiology as part of imaging procedures.

Overview

Magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) technologists utilize the resonant frequency properties of atoms within a magnetic field to image anatomic and/or physiologic conditions of the body to assist physicians in the diagnosis of disease. MR technologists perform diagnostic magnetic resonance examinations in accordance with all prescribed standards under the direct guidance of the supervising Radiologist. MR Technologists provide patient care to all age groups to include neonatal, pediatrics, adult, and geriatrics. Adheres to all safety requirements for magnetic safety. Demonstrates ability to perform advance MR imaging procedures and is competent/proficient with cross-sectional anatomy and physiology. Provides more complex technical care necessary to meet identified patient needs.
