Job summary

Piedmont Augusta Hospital is seeking an MRI technologist to perform diagnostic MRI exams under the supervision of the Radiologist. The role involves imaging and ensuring safety and quality of scans in a clinical setting.

The technologist will provide patient care across neonatal, pediatric, adult, and geriatric populations, following AMA/JRCERT standards and hospital policies. No prior experience is required, but ARDMS or ARRT registration and BCLS certification are required upon hire.

Qualifications

• Education: AMA approved Radiologic Technology program or JRCERT accredited hospital-based training program required.
• No experience required.
• Licensure: ARDMS or ARRT radiographer registration; BCLS required upon hire.

Magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) technologists utilize the resonant frequency properties of atoms within a magnetic field to image anatomic and/or physiologic conditions of the body to assist physicians in the diagnosis of disease. MR technologists perform diagnostic magnetic resonance examinations in accordance with all prescribed standards under the direct guidance of the supervising Radiologist. MR Technologists provide patient care to all age groups to include neonatal, pediatrics, adult, and geriatrics.
