Piedmont is looking for a full-time MRI technologist in Cartersville, Georgia. The position includes performing diagnostic examinations using MRI technology under the guidance of a supervising Radiologist. Responsibilities include providing patient care for all age groups and ensuring compliance with imaging standards.

Applicants should have completed an AMA-approved radiologic technology program and hold necessary certifications such as BCLS and ARDMS or ARRT. No prior experience is required, making this an excellent entry-level opportunity.

Overview

8:00 AM – 4:30 PM with rotational call every 5th weekend.

Magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) technologists utilize the resonant frequency properties of atoms within a magnetic field to image anatomic and/or physiologic conditions of the body to assist physicians in the diagnosis of disease. MR technologists perform diagnostic magnetic resonance examinations in accordance with all prescribed standards under the direct guidance of the supervising Radiologist. MR technologists provide patient care to all age groups to include neonatal, pediatrics, adult, and geriatrics.

Responsibilities

Education

• AMA approved radiologic technology program or JRCERT accredited hospital-based training program – Required

Work Experience

• No experience required – Required
• 6 months as an MRI technologist – Preferred

Licenses and Certifications

• (R) ARDMS or ARRT - Radiographer Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technology in Radiography (R) – Required upon hire
• BCLS - Basic Life Support – Required upon hire
