Job summary

Siemens Healthineers is seeking a Medical Imaging Field Engineer 1 to service MR equipment in the Washington, DC metro area. This field-based role installs, services, maintains and modifies imaging equipment at customer sites, with a focus on timely repairs and operator training to ensure peak performance.

Candidate will work in a customer-facing environment, manage territory finances, and maintain company assets, including a vehicle and tools.

Qualifications

• Minimum high school diploma, Technical Degree or equivalent experience.
• 1+ Years of field service experience is desired.
• Proficient in the use of tools and service test equipment, with the ability to work both individually and in an established team setting.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to travel and provide service in assigned geography; willingness to participate in an on-call rotation after training and certification.
• Valid driver's license, ability to drive independently day and night, and good driving record required.
• Physical Requirements: Lifting 50lbs (floor to above waist/head), walking, ladder/stepstool climbing, bending, twisting, sitting work, squatting work, standing work, high-reach, fine grasping manipulation, good vision, and ability to work alone.

Responsibilities

• servicing MR Equipment in the D.C. metro area. Engineer Level based on prior experience.
• You are in a field-based, customer-facing role that primarily installs, services, maintains and modifies Siemens’ imaging equipment at customer sites.
• delivering timely and effective repairs as well as adequate training of operators to ensure optimal system performance, resulting in superior customer satisfaction.
• manage financial performance within their territory, meeting or exceeding budget for revenue generation, expense control and inventory management.
• manage company assets to include a company car, cell phone, computer, tools, inventory parts, etc.
• Establish and maintain proper business relationships with customers and peers, as well as performing necessary administrative duties accurately.
