Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in electrical, mechanical, or related engineering field.
• Experience with Formula SAE or equivalent preferred.
• Strong data analysis and ability to synthesize large data sets for insights.
• Willingness to work on-site at Indianapolis for the duration of the internship.

Responsibilities

• Support INDYCAR engineering projects with direction from engineering leadership.
• Assist engine technicians with collecting engine control unit (ECU) data at race events.
• Write programs to improve efficiency of data review.
• Support the engineering safety group by downloading crash data and taking accident photos during events.
• Collaborate with the INDYCAR Timing and Innovation group on data-related tasks.
• Engage in short-term projects to gain exposure to the motorsports industry and contribute to the engineering department.
