Job summary

Bosch Motorsport North America is seeking an experienced Motorsport Customer Application Engineer to support development, integration, and field deployment of motorsport electronics and software. You will work closely with customer teams, internal engineers, and suppliers to ensure robust performance and on-track reliability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a closely related field.
• At least five years of job-related application engineering experience.
• At least five years of experience using data-acquisition and data-analysis tools to evaluate technical system performance.
• Experience with motorsport, Formula SAE, or similar environments involving vehicle systems, controls, and trackside support.

Responsibilities

• Provide on-site application engineering support for motorsport products at customer facilities and race tracks.
• Coordinate customer-facing track activities with internal development teams.
• Diagnose and resolve system-level issues within the scope of the role and coordinate with customers and internal teams regarding changes.
• Develop and document control strategies for ICE and hybrid powertrains, including energy-recovery systems.
• Develop and validate vehicle electrical architectures and CAN/Ethernet networks.
• Develop, maintain, and execute virtual simulation environments for validation and test setup.
• Provide guidance and share best practices across engineering teams.
• Travel domestically and internationally 50–80 days per year to support customers and development locations.
