Job summary

Bosch Motorsport North America seeks a Motorsport Customer Application Engineer to serve as the primary technical contact at customer facilities and race tracks. You will support development, integration, validation, and optimization of motorsport electronic systems and software, with up to 80 days of travel annually.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a closely related field.
• At least five years of job-related application engineering experience.
• At least five years of data-acquisition and data-analysis experience.
• Experience in professional motorsport, Formula SAE, or similar vehicle systems.

Responsibilities

• Provide on-site application engineering support for motorsport products, including engine controllers, vehicle control units, displays, power distribution units, and telemetry modules at customer facilities and race tracks.
• Diagnose and resolve system-level issues and coordinate with customers and internal teams regarding parameter changes.
• Develop and document control strategies for internal-combustion-engine and hybrid powertrains.
• Develop and validate vehicle electrical architectures, CAN and Ethernet configurations.
• Create and maintain virtual development environments using MATLAB, Python, or C# for validation and trackside setup.
• Share best practices and provide technical guidance across the engineering team.
• Travel domestically and internationally roughly 50–80 days per year.
