Qualifications

• Five years’ progressive experience within the Sales Department of a motor vehicle dealership or comparable experience managing a sales organization.
• High School Diploma or equivalent degree or greater required.
• Knowledge and experience with sales of Harley-Davidson motorcycles and other products sold by the dealership, or the demonstrated ability to quickly learn them.
• Ability to take initiative and problem solve.
• Knowledge and experience with sales of Harley-Davidson motorcycles and other products sold by the dealership, or the demonstrated ability to quickly learn them.
• Applicable experience in big ticket retails sales strongly preferred.
• Passion for the motorcycling lifestyle and riding community.
• Must have ability to relate with broad customer base.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to present oneself as well as the company in a professional manner.
• Knowledge of applicable laws/policies/principles/etc.
• Must be computer literate and proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, along with general email/internet.
• Experience using various Google Drive applications to include but not limited to Google Sheets and Google Docs a plus.

• Must be able to work effectively with all areas of the dealership to maximize both the buying experience of the customer and the profitability of the dealership. Experience with CRM and/or computerized inventory systems, or the ability to quickly learn.
• Valid driver’s license and motorcycle endorsement.

Responsibilities

• Oversee sales of new and used vehicles and monitor gross margins.
• Ensure dealership process adherence and daily results tracking.
• Lead and train sales personnel; manage inventories and paperwork.
• Manage showroom and customer experience; greet customers promptly.
• Cross-sell parts, financing, insurance products and services, warranties and service plans.
• Recruiting, interviewing, hiring and firing assist.
• Provide training for Sales Department employees.
• Execute promotional campaigns and budget objectives.
• Prepare reports for General Sales Manager and GM.
• Attend training and set department work schedule.
• Adhere to policies and procedures for Sales Dept.
• Maintain inventory controls and detailed records.
