Job summary

Qualifications

• Five years’ progressive experience within the Sales Department of a motor vehicle dealership or comparable experience managing a sales organization.
• High School Diploma or equivalent degree or greater required.
• Knowledge and experience with Harley-Davidson motorcycles and other dealership products, or the ability to learn quickly.
• Ability to take initiative and problem solve.
• Experience with big-ticket retail sales is preferred.
• Passion for motorcycling lifestyle and riding community.
• Must relate well with a broad customer base.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Professional appearance and demeanor; able to handle confidential information.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage all operations regarding sales of new and used vehicles.
• Ensure sales department maintains gross margin and net profits.
• Adhere to the TMC sales process and track results daily using eleads and other measures.
• Ensure Sales Manager checks and subordinate checklists are completed.
• Maintain clean, efficient facilities and motivated staff.
• Set quotas for sales personnel according to skill levels.
• Oversee management of new and used bike inventory.
• Review eleads daily to train sales personnel and evaluate performance.
• Provide reporting to General Sales Manager and General Manager.
• Attend training to stay current with sales trends.
• Train staff to use the TMC Sales Process and cross-sell products.
