Job summary

Xpertis Talent is seeking a Motion Control Sales Engineer to cover Ohio, Indiana, and Kentucky, focusing on expanding revenue for motion control products and integrated automation solutions. You will work with OEM and end-user accounts and collaborate with engineering, applications support, production and purchasing to offer technically sound solutions.

The role involves travel within the territory, building distributor relationships, and delivering accurate quotations while maintaining CRM

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Automation, or related discipline (equivalent experience considered).
• 5+ years of outside sales, applications engineering, or technical account-management experience in motion control or industrial automation.
• Working knowledge of servo systems, VFDs, PLCs, HMIs, robotics, and machine-control architectures.
• Proven account-development, forecasting, proposal, and negotiation skills.
• Strong presentation and communication skills across engineering and operations levels.
• Willingness to travel within OH/IN/KY territory; valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Develop high-potential OEM and end-user accounts and expand relationships within existing customers.
• Specify servo drives and motors, VFDs, PLC/HMI platforms, robotics, and related automation components.
• Read and interpret technical drawings, machine-control architectures, and application requirements.
• Generate accurate quotations and maintain a disciplined CRM pipeline with reliable forecasting.
• Manage, support, and train regional distributors and independent representative organizations.
