Job summary

Shady Grove Medical Center seeks to hire an experienced Unit Support Coordinator for our Mother Baby Unit who will embrace our mission to extend God’s care through the ministry of physical, mental, and spiritual healing. Responsibilities include coordinating departmental operations, processing physician orders, maintaining data and records, and performing clerical duties.

Qualifications

• High school diploma / GED is required.
• At least 1 year experience in a hospital or doctor’s office.
• Basic knowledge of medical terminology required.
• Proficient in PC, Internet and email.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Training in data entry of clinical systems preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support departmental operations by providing effective and timely communications, maintaining a clean, safe and orderly work environment, maintaining data and related records, and performing clerical and other support services as directed.
• Responsible for processing physician orders, communication, and other general duties.
