Job summary

Adventist HealthCare's Shady Grove Medical Center in Maryland is hiring an experienced Unit Support Coordinator for the Pediatric Emergency Department to help run the unit with efficient communications, clean and safe environments, and accurate data handling. The role supports physician orders, clerical duties, and general tasks.

Shift is full-time nights, 36 hours weekly, with rotating holidays and weekend coverage; benefits include medical plans, paid time off, retirement contributions, and

Qualifications

High school diploma / GED required.
At least 1 year experience in a hospital or doctor's office.
Basic knowledge of medical terminology required.
Proficient in PC, Internet and email required.
Strong communication and organizational skills.
Training in data entry of clinical systems preferred.

Responsibilities

Support departmental operations by providing effective and timely communications, maintaining a clean, safe and orderly work environment, maintaining data and related records, and by performing clerical and other support services as directed.
Responsible for processing physician orders, communication, and other general duties.
