Job summary

Allina Health is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant to assist in the delivery of patient care under RN supervision. The role involves personal care, vital signs, and documenting health observations in a hospital setting.

Typical duties include assisting with activities of daily living, mobility, and support during admissions and transfers. A CNA program completion or equivalent, along with BLS certification, is required.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or 17 with HS diploma or GED
• Successful completion of CNA program or equivalent
• Clinical rotations in accredited nursing program or completion of Allina Health CNA Academy
• Previous direct patient care experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Provide personal patient care under RN supervision (feeding, bathing, dressing, grooming)
• Record vital signs and other patient observations
• Assist with ambulation, transfers, and ROM exercises
• Respond to patient call lights promptly and assist with comfort needs
• Support with linen changes, feeding trays, and basic supplies
• Assist with admissions, transfers, discharges, and post‑mortem care
• Transport medications within the site per policy and safety guidelines
