Job summary

Allina Health is seeking a patient care assistant to support Med/Surg units during permanent night shifts in Minneapolis, MN. Under RN supervision, you will help with daily living activities, monitor vitals, and assist with transfers and mobility, contributing to safe, compassionate patient care.

Applicants should have CNA training or nursing assistant experience and BLS certification. The role offers 0.7 FTE with 56 hours per two weeks and every-other weekend schedule.

Qualifications

• Must be 18+ years old or 17+ with a high school diploma or GED.
• CNA program completion OR clinical rotations OR Allina Health Nursing Assistant Academy OR prior direct patient care experience.

Responsibilities

• Assist with personal care: feeding, bathing, dressing, grooming, and linen changes.
• Collect and document vital signs and observations under RN supervision.
• Support ambulation, transfers, positioning, and ROM as ordered.
• Ensure patient safety; report environmental risks and equipment issues.
