Job summary

Allina Health is hiring a part-time Nursing Assistant at United Hospital in Saint Paul, MN. Under RN supervision you will assist with basic patient care, vital signs, and daily activities, supporting safe, compassionate care.

The role includes evening shifts, every other weekend, and a .8 FTE schedule. CNAs with completed CNA programs or equivalent nursing training are encouraged to apply; BLS certification is required.

Qualifications

• 18 years of age or 17 years with high school diploma or GED
• Successful completion of Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) program
• Completion of one semester of clinical rotations within an accredited nursing program
• Completion of the Allina Health Nursing Assistant Academy Program
• Previous direct patient care experience

Responsibilities

• Under the direct supervision of a RN, assists in the delivery of patient care.
• Performs personal care such as feeding, bathing, dressing, grooming, moving and transporting patients, or changing linens.
• Collects and documents vital signs and other observations of patients.
• Observes, collects and documents health status data; reports abnormal findings to the RN.
• Protects patient and staff by using proper body mechanics and safety procedures.
