Job summary

Allina Health is seeking a Nursing Assistant to support patient care under the supervision of a registered nurse. The role involves assisting patients with activities of daily living, documenting vital signs and observations, and ensuring patient safety and comfort on a day or night shift.

The position is 0.6 FTE (48 hours per two-week pay period) with a 12-hour shift length and every-other weekend rotation. On-site work with union guidelines; no travel required.

Qualifications

• Completion of a CNA program or equivalent clinical rotations within a nursing program.
• Participation in Allina Health Nursing Assistant Academy program or related direct patient care experience.
• Demonstrated ability to assist with personal care and patient comfort under RN supervision.

Responsibilities

• Assist in delivery of patient care under RN supervision, including feeding, bathing, dressing, grooming and mobility.
• Collect and document vital signs and observations; respond promptly to patient call lights.
• Support safety and comfort by following policies for transfers, mobility, hygiene and fall prevention.
