Mossyrock Jr/Sr High School is seeking a dedicated Middle School Assistant Boys Basketball Coach for the upcoming season. The ideal candidate will help lead practices, develop student-athletes, and promote teamwork, sportsmanship, and academic excellence within the program.

This seasonal position requires working with the head coach and staff to plan drills, manage game-day activities, monitor student progress, and foster a positive, competitive team culture while upholding school values.

Qualificações

• Experience in coaching, preferably at middle school level or higher.
• Strong knowledge of basketball techniques, strategies, and rules.
• Ability to motivate student-athletes to achieve personal and team goals.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks.

Responsabilidades

• Assist the head coach in developing and implementing practice plans and game strategies.
• Provide instruction and guidance in skill development, techniques, and game rules.
• Help organize and conduct team practices, drills, and conditioning sessions.
• Support game day preparations, including equipment management and player assignments.
• Monitor academic and athletic progress of student-athletes, ensuring compliance with school and athletic regulations.
• Foster a positive team culture, encouraging sportsmanship, teamwork, and respect.
• Communicate with players, parents, and school administration regarding team activities and expectations.
• Assist in recruitment and retention of student-athletes for the boys basketball program.
• Attend coaching staff meetings and professional development opportunities as required.

• - Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
• - First Aid and CPR certification, or willingness to obtain prior to the season.
• - Flexibility to work evenings and weekends during the basketball season.
