Job summary

Hamilton Middle School is seeking an Assistant Basketball Coach to join the athletic program for the upcoming season. The role supports the Head Coach in developing student-athletes' skills, promoting teamwork, and maintaining a positive, inclusive environment throughout practices, games, and events.

This seasonal position requires commitment to the entire basketball season, including practices, competitions, and team activities, with evenings and weekends possible.

Qualifications

• Experience coaching at middle school or high school preferred.
• Strong knowledge of basketball fundamentals, strategies and rules.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to motivate student-athletes.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Commitment to a positive, inclusive environment for all team members.
• Availability for evenings and weekends during the season.
• CPR and First Aid certification is a plus.
• Ability to pass fingerprint-based background check as required by school policy.
