Job summary

CCBC is seeking adjunct faculty to prepare and deliver instruction at Catonsville, Dundalk & Essex campuses in Maryland. Candidates will coordinate with program directors, attend meetings, and be available to students outside class hours.

Day and evening classes are possible, with a typical teaching load up to 22 credit hours annually. A Bachelor's degree is required; Maryland Mortician license or license eligibility from another state is needed for mortuary courses.

  • Master's degree preferred.
  • One year of funeral service experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and deliver instruction, cooperate with College support staff by timely submission of materials, and coordinate activities with Program Directors.
  • Attend department meetings, participate in professional development and be available to students outside of class.
  • Teach classes day and/or evenings; CCBC adjunct faculty may teach up to 22 credit hours per year, usually no more than 11 credits per semester.

Campus locations: Catonsville, Dundalk & Essex, MD

Adjunct Level 1 - $1,085 per credit hour.

Adjunct faculty may teach up to 22 credit hours each year andusually teach no more than 11 credits each semester.

Minimum Requirements

A Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution is required. AMaryland Morticians license or a Morticians license from anotherstate with the eligibility to work as a Mortician in the state ofMaryland. A minimum of one year of funeral service experiencerequired. College level teaching experience, Master's degree andfive years of funeral service experience preferred.

Employees maycontribute traditional pre-tax 403(b) dollars and Roth 403(b)post-tax dollars simultaneously. The savings limits are combinedfor the Traditional 403(b) and the Roth 403(b) contributions.
