Job summary

CCBC is seeking an Adjunct Level 1 instructor to teach college credit and non-credit courses on a part-time basis. Day, evening, weekend sections are available, with lesson plans aligned to the Common Course Outline and evaluation methods to assess student performance.

The position requires a minimum of 5+ years in the machining field, with experience in milling machines, lathes, CNC machining centers, CNC lathes, GDT, CNC programming, or CAM software.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5+ years' experience in the machining field.
  • Experience with Milling Machines, Lathe, CNC Machining Centers, CNC Lathes, GDT, CNC Programming or CAM software.
  • Professional certifications such as Machinist Apprenticeship, NIMS or related degree are a plus.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Instruct college credit and non-credit courses on a part-time basis.
  • Develop lesson plans to support the Common Course Outline.
  • Develop and administer evaluation methods, tests, quizzes, projects and final course performance.
  • Provide classroom management and delivery of instruction.

Instruct college credit and non-credit course on a part time basis. Day, evening, weekend sections available. Develop lesson plans tosupport Common Course Outline, develop and administer evaluationmethods tests, quizzes, projects, reports, grade evaluation methodsand final course performance, classroom management, and delivery ofinstruction.

Adjunct Level 1 - $1,085 per credit hour.

Minimum Requirements

Applicant should have a minimum of 5+ years' experience in the machining field. Applicant should have experience in one or more of the following, Milling Machines, Lathe, CNC Machining Centers, CNCLathes, GDT, CNC Programming, Inspection or CAMM Software. Professional Certifications such as Machinist Apprenticeship, NIMS or Degree is a plus. Excellent written and oral communicationskills required.

The Roth 403(b) savings feature allowsemployees to contribute after-tax dollars and then withdraw tax-free dollars from their account upon retirement. The Roth403(b) savings feature is only offered by the following vendors: TIAA-CREF and VOYA Financial Advisors, Inc. Adjunct Faculty, PartTime Associates and Full Time employees are eligible to save forretirement using the Roth 403(b) savings feature. Employees maycontribute traditional pre-tax 403(b) dollars and Roth 403(b) post-tax dollars simultaneously. The savings limits are combinedfor the Traditional 403(b) and the Roth 403(b) contributions.
  • Deferred Compensation Plan — 457(b) offered through VOYAFinancial Advisors, Inc. The 457(b) salary reduction authorizationform is needed. The form is available on SharePoint Forms/HumanResources Forms.
