Job summary

The role ensures loans and appraisals meet credit quality standards and requires collaboration with processors and loan officers to resolve issues.

The position supports underwriting and closing teams, maintains adherence to regulatory requirements, and keeps up-to-date with real estate market conditions.

Qualifications

• Three-plus years of position-related experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent professional experience (preferred).
• Working knowledge of bank lending and underwriting policies and procedures, as well as loan processing.

Responsibilities

• Underwrite consumer mortgage loans per portfolio, agency, and investor guidelines.
• Ensure asset quality and adherence to underwriting standards and loan policies.
• Provide back-up support to Senior Mortgage Underwriters and processing staff.
• Communicate with processors and loan officers to address issues; complete denials if needed.
• Maintain mortgage and consumer loan compliance and stay updated on regulatory changes.
• Assist in Construction to Conversion modification processes and ensure proper documentation.
