First Fed is seeking a Consumer Underwriter to manage underwriting, documentation, and closing of consumer loans in compliance with regulations and policy. You will assess borrower credit, income, assets, and collateral while coordinating third-party reports and preparing accurate closing documents.

The role supports efficient operations, sound credit decisions, and a high-quality customer experience, serving as a resource to branches on lending programs and processes.

Qualifications

• Underwriting and processing of consumer loans with regulatory and policy adherence.
• Ability to assess credit, income, assets, collateral, and product eligibility.
• Experience with closing documents and vendor coordination is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Underwrite and process consumer loans with complete documentation.
• Review credit, income, assets, and collateral to support decisions within authority.
• Coordinate third-party reports (title, flood, appraisal, insurance).
• Prepare closing documents ensuring accuracy and compliance.
• Maintain knowledge of lending programs and policies.
• Guide branch personnel to ensure service excellence and loan quality.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
