Job summary

Newrez seeks a Homeowner Advocacy Analyst - Servicing to join the Compliance team. You will investigate and respond to borrower, investor, and regulator inquiries with clear, precise documentation.

You will monitor mortgage regulatory requirements, analyze data, and collaborate across departments to resolve issues swiftly while prioritizing accuracy and customer care. The role emphasizes strong writing, ability to manage multiple assignments, and ongoing learning about mortgage servicing

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher; professional certifications advantageous.
• 2-4 years’ experience in the mortgage industry, business controls, compliance, or audit.
• Proficiency interpreting mortgage regulatory mandates and evaluating mortgage servicing documentation.
• Experience researching mortgage accounts to identify and rectify potential errors with precision and efficiency.
• Demonstrated experience managing relationships with internal and external partners.

Responsibilities

• Present complex information clearly with grammatical precision for borrowers, investors, or regulators.
• Maintain knowledge of federal and state consumer protection laws, mortgage regulations, and policies.
• Coordinate with QA auditors to address findings and drive process changes.
• Manage caseloads to ensure timely follow-up and closures per standards and regulatory mandates.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve borrower and investor concerns.
• Design, test, and implement mortgage compliance review policies and test plans.
