Job summary

Fifth Third Bank is seeking a Mortgage Sales Assistant to support Mortgage Loan Originators by coordinating communications with customers, real estate professionals, and vendors. You will help prepare loan files, schedule appointments, and ensure timely documentation to drive a smooth application process.

The role requires at least one year in mortgage-related service, strong written and verbal skills, and knowledge of mortgage regulations.

Qualifications

• Minimum one year in customer service or mortgage-related roles.
• Solid understanding of residential mortgage loans and processes.
• Familiarity with federal lending regulations.
• Ability to analyze policies and stay within risk guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Work with customers to set expectations including rate inquiries, appointments, loan status and other information deemed necessary.
• Confirm appointments and review with customer all documents needed at time of application to ensure efficiency.
• Assure all components to the file are ordered, copied and included in the loan package prior to processing.
• Provide marketing support and liaise between Loan Consultant and Sales Support.
• Builds relationships with Realtors, Builders, Appraisers and Title Companies.
• Confirm and/or cross-sell additional banking products.
• Assisting in other areas as needed.
