Qualifications

• Three to five years of mortgage processing or related experience.
• Bachelor's degree or industry certifications equivalent.
• Ability to train and mentor processors; strong leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage, coach, and mentor other loan processors within the department.
• Order, receive, and review documents ensuring hazard and flood insurance meet investor requirements prior to closing.
• Review mortgage credit packages for accuracy, timeliness, and required disclosures.
• Assist residential loan applicants; verify data accuracy and standards.
• Document mortgage loan files in origination software.
• Process purchases, refinances, home equity, home improvement, and interim construction loans.
• Evaluate credit reports to determine creditworthiness and prepare underwriting packages.
• Know FNMA, FHLMC, HMDA, FHA, VA programs and state-sponsored down payment assistance.
• Comply with all state and federal laws and regulations; check names against BSA/AML/OFAC lists.
• Promote Union Square professionally to members and the community; safeguard confidential information.
• Adhere to USCU policies; perform other duties as assigned.
