Job summary

SouthState Bank is seeking a post-closing specialist to track all closed mortgage loans from disbursement through shipping to the designated investor at our Charleston Operations Center. The role emphasizes accuracy, timely processing, and adherence to corporate procedures.

You will perfect loans for deficiencies, obtain documentation, monitor shipments to agencies and investors, and assist with audits when time permits.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience in Mortgage Loan documentation preferred.
• Understanding of basic mortgage stages is preferred.
• Experience with Encompass is a plus, not required.

Responsibilities

• Check in all executed closed loan packages in a timely manner from the settlement agent.
• Deliver loans to agencies and third-party investors within delivery expirations.
• Follow up on post-closing deficiencies and obtain documentation to correct them for sale.
• Monitor delivered loans and collaborate with internal partners to obtain and submit supporting documentation to investors.
• Assist with audits of loans when time permits.
• Maintain accurate tracking and reporting and meet deadlines with high accuracy.
