Job summary

CrossCountry Mortgage, LLC is seeking a Post Closing Specialist to coordinate the resolution of investor-identified conditions during purchase review. You will research loan files, clarify ambiguities with investors, obtain necessary documentation, and ensure timely curing of suspense items to enable loan purchases.

The role requires 3+ years in mortgage closing/post-closing, strong attention to detail, and proficiency with MS Office.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education/experience.
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in mortgage closing and/or post-closing activities with knowledge of regulatory and investor guidelines.
• Excellent attention to detail and decision-making skills.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Obtain daily suspense reports from investor sites to identify loans suspended for purchase.
• Document notification of suspense information in the system and log dates.
• Review and clarify suspense items with investors to determine cure requirements.
• Review closed loan files to determine if suspense items exist.
• Collaborate with internal/external departments and clients to obtain required documentation.
• Log received documents and upload to investor sites for review and purchase.
