Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a Mortgage Originator to join its team in Welkom. You will be responsible for generating new mortgage loan business by building relationships with real estate agents, builders, and potential borrowers, guiding clients from application to closing.

This role offers an uncapped commission plan, comprehensive health benefits, and ongoing training. You will stay current on FHA, VA, and Conventional products and collaborate with processors and underwriters to close loans

Qualifications

• Proven track record in mortgage origination or related sales in financial services.
• Deep understanding of mortgage lending guidelines, products, and regulations (FHA, VA, Conventional).
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and meet sales targets.
• NMLS certification or willingness to obtain it.

Responsibilities

• Proactively generate leads and cultivate referral relationships with real estate professionals, builders, and other sources.
• Meet with potential borrowers to understand their financial needs and recommend appropriate mortgage products.
• Guide applicants through the loan application process, ensuring all necessary documentation is collected accurately.
• Stay up-to-date on mortgage products, industry trends, and regulatory requirements.
• Build and maintain a strong pipeline of potential borrowers through consistent follow-up and relationship management.
• Collaborate with loan processors and underwriters to ensure timely and efficient loan closings.
