Our client in Paarl is seeking a motivated Mortgage Originator to join a respected financial institution. You will generate new mortgage loan business by developing networks with real estate agents, builders, and potential clients, guiding borrowers through the loan process from inquiry to closing.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Mortgage Originator or in a similar sales role in the mortgage industry.
• Thorough knowledge of mortgage lending regulations and loan origination software.
• Excellent sales, negotiation, and customer service skills.
• Ability to manage a pipeline of potential loans.
• Strong understanding of various mortgage products (fixed-rate, adjustable-rate, government-backed loans).
• Valid professional licenses or certifications as required by South African regulations.

Responsibilities

• Proactively generate leads and develop referral sources within the real estate and building industries.
• Meet with prospective borrowers to assess their needs and explain available mortgage products and programs.
• Guide clients through the entire mortgage loan application process, from initial inquiry to closing.
• Analyze borrower financial information and determine loan eligibility and terms.
• Ensure compliance with all lending regulations and company policies.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and referral partners.
