Job summary

Dominion Financial Services (DFS) seeks a detail-oriented Mortgage Operations Specialist to support the Post-Closing team nationwide. You will track post-closing exceptions, coordinate with title companies, attorneys, and partners, and maintain meticulous records in Salesforce and the ALF system.

You will ensure documents are complete, accurate, and compliant while collaborating with Loan Processing to resolve issues. AI tools are encouraged to boost efficiency and consistency.

Qualifications

• Two or more years of experience in mortgage operations, loan processing, closing, post-closing, title, loan servicing, or related field.
• Familiarity with mortgage and real estate documentation.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to identify missing or inaccurate information.
• Excellent organizational and follow-up skills.
• Ability to manage multiple files, deadlines, and priorities.
• Professional written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Outlook and Excel.
• Experience with Salesforce or another loan/customer management system preferred.
• Willingness to learn new systems, processes, and AI-assisted tools.
• Dependable, team-oriented, and comfortable in a structured, process-driven environment.

Responsibilities

• Track, review, and clear post-closing exceptions.
• Contact title companies, attorneys, and external partners to obtain trailing documents.
• Maintain and log received trailing documents in Salesforce and All Loans File (ALF).
• Save and organize documents within the loan filing system.
• Prepare and record assignments of mortgage.
• Deliver loan packages and required documentation to custodians.
• Upload loan information and documentation for secondary-market buyers and warehouse lenders.
• Review files for completeness and compliance with internal and external requirements.
• Partner with the Loan Processing team to resolve documentation or compliance issues.
• Maintain clear and professional communication with internal teams and external partners.
• Identify opportunities to improve workflows, accuracy, and turnaround times.
• Use company-provided technology, including AI-assisted tools, to improve efficiency and communication.
