Banner Bank is seeking an experienced Mortgage Operations Manager to lead the processing and underwriting teams from application through underwriting. You will drive operational excellence, strengthen risk management, and build high-performing teams to help customers achieve homeownership.

You will oversee compliance with investor, agency, and regulatory guidelines, manage data integrity, and optimize workflows and performance to ensure timely loan decisions and a superior customer experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Business, Economics, Law, Computer Science, or a related field. Equivalents considered.
• 6+ years of experience in mortgage operations, operational leadership, process oversight, and team management.

Responsibilities

• Lead mortgage processing and underwriting operations, ensuring loans are reviewed accurately and efficiently.
• Guide teams in resolving complex loan applications, underwriting, and operational issues while maintaining customer experience.
• Review and approve complex loan scenarios within delegated authority and elevate high-risk requests as needed.
• Ensure adherence to investor, agency, regulatory, and internal lending guidelines.
• Oversee loan data integrity, documentation quality, and operational processes for compliance.
• Manage workflow distribution and pipeline performance to meet service levels and drive improvements.
• Collaborate with loan production, closing, secondary marketing, quality control and other stakeholders to resolve loan challenges.
