Job summary

Banner Bank seeks a Mortgage Operations Manager to lead processing and underwriting, driving efficiency and compliant mortgage workflows across the loan lifecycle.

You will guide cross-functional teams, optimize data integrity, and partner with stakeholders to improve loan flow while upholding quality and customer experience. This role requires strong leadership and a proven track record in mortgage operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 6+ years of mortgage operations, leadership, process oversight, and team management.
• 4+ years of supervisory/management experience leading a team, process, or project.

Responsibilities

• Lead mortgage processing and underwriting operations, ensuring loans are reviewed accurately and efficiently.
• Guide teams in resolving complex loan applications, underwriting, and operational issues while maintaining customer experience.
• Review and approve complex loan scenarios and underwriting decisions within delegated authority to expedite high-risk requests.
• Ensure consistent interpretation and application of investor, agency, regulatory, and internal lending guidelines.
• Oversee loan data integrity, documentation quality, and operational processes for compliance and effectiveness.
• Manage daily workflow distribution and pipeline performance to meet service level expectations.
• Analyze metrics and trends to identify risks and implement process improvements.
• Partner with loan production, closing, secondary marketing, quality control, and other stakeholders to resolve loan challenges.
• Lead, coach, and develop mortgage operations team members, supporting performance management and growth.
