Job summary

Banner Bank seeks a Mortgage Operations Manager to lead processing and underwriting, driving operational excellence and risk management. You will guide teams through complex loan scenarios, ensuring adherence to investor, agency, regulatory and internal guidelines.

The role focuses on developing high-performing teams, improving loan flow, and delivering an exceptional customer experience in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a related field.
• 6+ years of mortgage operations and leadership experience.
• 4+ years supervisory/management experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead mortgage processing and underwriting operations, ensuring loans are reviewed accurately and efficiently.
• Guide teams in resolving complex loan application and operational issues while delivering an exceptional customer experience.
• Review and approve complex loan scenarios and underwriting decisions within delegated authority.
• Ensure consistent interpretation of investor, agency, regulatory, and internal lending guidelines.
• Oversee loan data integrity, documentation quality, and operational processes to maintain compliance.
• Manage daily workflow distribution and pipeline performance across processing and underwriting teams.
• Analyze operational metrics and reporting to identify risks and implement process improvements.
• Partner with loan production, closing, secondary marketing, quality control, and other stakeholders to resolve loan challenges.
