Job summary

Cornerstone Capital Bank's Cornerstone Servicing division seeks an experienced Loss Mitigation Specialist to deliver world-class customer care. You will own the end-to-end loss mitigation process, educating borrowers on hardship options and guiding them through workout solutions.

Responsibilities include negotiating payment arrangements, underwriting for loss mitigation, and maintaining strong compliance with investor guidelines.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 2 years of mortgage servicing experience.
• Minimum 2 years of collections experience.
• Bi-lingual skills a plus.
• Experience with Business Purpose Loans or Non-QM Loans preferred.

Responsibilities

• Negotiate payment arrangements to keep borrowers in their homes and reduce delinquency.
• Manage inbound and outbound calling queues.
• Continuously improve knowledge base and skills for excellent customer service.
• Underwrite loans for loss mitigation per FHA/VA/USDA/FNMA/FHLMC guidelines and loss mitigation options.
• Recommend loss mitigation actions on foreclosure alternatives within investor timeframes.
• Read and interpret title searches and rectify judgments/liens.
• Maintain quality control and production standards defined by Cornerstone Servicing.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
