Job summary

City National Bank in Missouri is seeking a Mortgage Loan Processing Specialist to review loan applications, prepare disclosures, and coordinate with underwriting and closing teams to move files toward closing.

The role requires at least 1 year of loan processing experience, familiarity with FNMA/FHLMC guidelines, and knowledge of state and federal lending regulations. Strong communication and attention to detail are essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of loan processing experience in a mortgage banking company or related financial institution.
• Minimum 1 year of experience working with FNMA/FHLMC guidelines and standard industry guidelines.
• Minimum 1 year of experience of state and federal lending regulations (e.g. Respa, Reg Z, Ecoa, State Fair Lending) required.
• Must be in good standing under the Safe Act and registered/licensed with the Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System and Registry, or able to be registered under the Safe Act.

Responsibilities

• Review all new loan applications and prepare for submission to the underwriter.
• Prepare and send regulatory disclosure material within required timeframes.
• Review new loan files, organize and input information.
• Open/verifications and compile outstanding items; coordinate with escrow, title, credit vendors, HOA, insurance, and appraisal departments.
• Input data for processing conventional mortgage loans for single family 1-4.
• Prepare and mail requests for verifications of deposits, employment, and mortgage.
• Provide support to Residential Loan Consultant, underwriting, and closing departments; respond to status inquiries.
• Assist supervisor and underwriting in weekly pipeline planning.
• Support CRA and Equal Employment Opportunity programs.
