City National Bank is seeking a Mortgage Loan Processor I to review new loan applications, ensure required documents are complete, and prepare files for underwriting and closing. This role supports the Residential Loan Consultant and underwriting teams, handling verifications and regulatory disclosures.

Strong attention to FNMA/FHLMC guidelines and Safe Act compliance is essential. The position emphasizes collaboration across processing, underwriting, and closing functions to maintain pipeline

Qualifications

• 1 year of loan processing experience in a mortgage banking company or related financial institution.
• 1 year of experience with FNMA/FHLMC guidelines and standard industry guidelines.
• 1 year of experience with state and federal lending regulations (e.g. RESPA, Reg Z, ECOA, State Fair Lending).
• Must be in good standing under Safe Act and registered/licensed with NMLS or able to be registered.

Responsibilities

• Review all new loan application requests to ensure all required forms and documentation are provided.
• Prepare and mail regulatory disclosures within required timeframes.
• Open and order verifications necessary for credit decisions and compile outstanding items.
• Input processing data for conventional mortgage loans for single family properties.
• Assist Residential Loan Consultant, underwriting, and closing departments; answer borrower inquiries.
