Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of loan processing experience in a mortgage banking company or related financial institution.
• Minimum 1 year of experience with FNMA/FHLMC guidelines and standard industry guidelines.
• Minimum 1 year of experience with state and federal lending regulations (e.g. RESPA, Reg Z, ECOA, State Fair Lending).
• Must be in good standing under the Safe Act and registered/licensed with the Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System and Registry.

Responsibilities

• Review new loan applications to ensure required forms and documentation are provided.
• Prepare and send regulatory disclosure material within required timeframes.
• Review new loan files, input information, and place files in proper order.
• Open/obtain verifications to support credit decisions and coordinate with escrow, title, credit vendor, HOA, insurance, and appraisal.
• Handle processing data for conventional single-family mortgage loans.
• Request verifications of deposit, employment, and mortgage as applicable.
• Provide support to Residential Loan Consultant, underwriting, and closing departments; respond to borrower inquiries.
