City National Bank is seeking a Mortgage Loan Processor I to handle a variety of duties from collecting borrower documents to preparing disclosures for closing. You will work with the Residential Loan Consultant, underwriting, and closing teams to keep files moving efficiently.

The role requires familiarity with FNMA/FHLMC guidelines, Respa/Reg Z, and Safe Act compliance, plus strong communication, math, and computer skills. On-site in Los Angeles with competitive pay and benefits.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of loan processing experience in mortgage banking or related institution.
• Minimum 1 year of experience with FNMA/FHLMC guidelines and standard industry guidelines.
• Minimum 1 year of experience with state and federal lending regulations (Respa, Reg Z, Ecoa, State Fair Lending).
• Must be registered/licensed under the Safe Act or able to register.

Responsibilities

• Review new loan applications to ensure required forms/documentation are provided.
• Prepare and send regulatory disclosures within required timeframes.
• Review files, input information, and place in proper stacking order.
• Open/order verifications and coordinate with escrow/title/credit vendors.
• Input data for processing conventional mortgage loans for single family 1-4.
• Mail requests for verifications of deposit, employment, and mortgage.
• Provide support to Residential Loan Consultant, underwriting and closing departments.
• Assist supervisor with weekly pipeline planning.
• Support CRA and Equal Employment Opportunity programs.
