Job summary

City National Bank is seeking a Mortgage Loan Processor to review and assemble loan applications, prepare disclosures, and coordinate with underwriters and closing teams. You will gather items, order verifications, and input data for processing conventional single-family mortgages.

The role requires 1 year of processing experience and knowledge of FNMA/FHLMC guidelines and lending regs. Safe Act compliance is essential, with benefits and development opportunities provided.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of loan processing experience in a mortgage banking company or related financial institution required.
• Minimum 1 year of experience working with FNMA/FHLMC guidelines and standard industry guidelines required.
• Minimum 1 year of experience of state and federal lending regulations (e.g. RESPA, Reg Z, ECOA, State Fair Lending) required.
• Must be in good standing under Safe Act and licensed with NMLS, or able to register under Safe Act.

Responsibilities

• Reviews all new loan application requests to ensure that all required forms and/or documentation have been provided by the borrower.
• Prepares and sends out regulatory compliance disclosure material within required timeframes.
• Reviews new loan files and inputs information on the system.
• Opens/orders verifications to make a credit decision and collects outstanding items from borrowers.
• Inputs data for processing of conventional mortgage loans for single family 1‑4.
• Prepares and mails requests for verification of deposit, employment, and mortgage.
• Provides support to Residential Loan Consultant, underwriting, and closing departments; answers inquiries during processing.
• Assists supervisor and underwriting in weekly pipeline planning.
• Maintains commitment to Bank programs such as CRA and Equal Employment Opportunity.
