Job summary

Ascend Bank is seeking a Mortgage Loan Processor to manage residential mortgage and consumer loan files from application through closing. You will ensure accuracy, compliance with TRID/RESPA, and timely processing by coordinating with borrowers, officers, and underwriters.

The role requires a two-year degree or equivalent coursework, 3+ years mortgage processing experience, and proficiency with LOS and MS Office.

Qualifications

• Must-have knowledge of mortgage processing and loan disclosure requirements.
• Experience with conventional, FHA, VA, and USDA guidelines preferred.
• Proficiency with loan processing, compliance regulations, and documentation standards.

Responsibilities

• Review loan applications and supporting documentation for completeness and accuracy.
• Collect, verify, and analyze borrower documents (income, assets, credit, employment).
• Order and review appraisals, title, and flood certifications.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and investor guidelines (TRID, RESPA).
• Submit complete loan packages to underwriting and address conditions promptly.
• Communicate with loan officers, underwriters, closers, and borrowers to obtain required information.
• Monitor loan pipeline to meet processing and closing deadlines.
• Prepare and maintain accurate loan files in the LOS.
• Identify and resolve issues that may delay loan approval or closing.
• Provide exceptional customer service throughout the loan process.
