Job summary

Family Trust FCU is seeking a Mortgage Processor to coordinate and process mortgage and home equity loan files from application through closing. This role prepares loans for closing, supports branch offices, and serves as a resource for members and staff on loan status and requirements.

The ideal candidate will manage documentation, coordinate closings, and ensure compliance with investor, regulatory, and credit union guidelines while delivering excellent member service.

Qualifications

• Six months to two years of similar or related experience in mortgage lending is required.
• Strong interpersonal skills, professionalism, and sound judgment are essential.
• High school education required; additional education desired.

Responsibilities

• Serve as primary contact for members seeking mortgage information via phone, online, or in person.
• Process home equity loan applications and coordinate closings with attorneys.
• Support Mortgage Loan Officers by scheduling appointments and routing referrals.
• Promote and cross-sell credit union products by identifying member needs.
• Maintain knowledge of mortgage lending trends, investor guidelines, and regulatory requirements.
• Process loan files from application through closing, ensuring all documentation is complete and compliant.
• Review title commitments and related documents to verify lien positions and descriptions.
• Cross-train within the mortgage production department to assist others as needed.
• Other duties as assigned.
