Family Trust FCU is seeking a Mortgage Processor to coordinate and process mortgage and home equity loan files from application through closing. This role prepares loans for closing, supports branch offices, and serves as a resource for members and staff on loan status and requirements.
The ideal candidate will manage documentation, coordinate closings, and ensure compliance with investor, regulatory, and credit union guidelines while delivering excellent member service.
The Mortgage Processor is responsible for coordinating and processing mortgage and home equity loan files from application through closing. This position prepares mortgage loans for internal and secondary market closings, centrally processes home equity loans originated by branch offices, and serves as a key resource for members, employees, and external contacts regarding loan status and requirements. The role is dedicated to delivering excellent service while ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency throughout the loan process.
Six months to two years of similar or related experience with knowledge of mortgage lending processes and procedures and secondary market procedures is required. Previous experience in consumer lending is preferred but not required.
A high school education is required, with additional education desired. Work related experience with proven performance may be considered in lieu of formal education.
Strong interpersonal skills, professionalism, and sound judgment are essential for success in this role. The position requires ongoing communication with members, employees, and external business partners to provide information, respond to inquiries, and support lending operations.
