Qualifications

• 3+ years processing/underwriting experience in mortgage loans required; 5+ years strongly preferred.
• Strong customer service skills and ability to manage difficult conversations for a positive client experience.
• Working knowledge of conventional and government guidelines, plus compliance requirements.

Responsibilities

• Perform processing tasks within designated timeframes.
• Initial pre-underwriting review of loan files per guidelines and investor requirements.
• Coordinate with buyers, sellers, title companies, closing agents, and real estate agents to obtain documentation and ensure successful closing.
• Submit non-delegated or brokered loan files to applicable investors per requirements.
• Obtain final verifications on all loans prior to closing.
• Manage individual pipeline and ensure data accuracy, turn-times, and compliance.
• Daily communication to team members regarding tasks per originator.
• Lead weekly pipeline meetings and achieve objectives.
• Serve as main point of contact for clients and originators on loan status.
• Maintain high client service levels and proactive communication through all loan phases.
• Collaborate with other departments to achieve company goals.
