Job summary

Mountain America Credit Union in West Jordan, Utah seeks a Mortgage Loan Originator to convert mortgage leads into approved loans. You will review leads, verify documents, assess loan options, and guide members through the full application process using Encompass LOS.

You will stay in contact with members and realtors, lock or float rates, attend closings, and cross-sell MACU products while ensuring Reg Z and RESPA compliance. Active NMLS registration is required.

Qualifications

• Experience in mortgage or financial services (one to three years).
• Active NMLS number per SAFÉ Act requirements.

Responsibilities

• Review leads and determine eligibility for loans.
• Take complete loan applications and send files within 24 hours.
• Operate Encompass LOS and run credit/AUS findings.
• Attend loan closings and follow up with members.
• Cross-sell MACU products and services.
• Maintain communication with members/realtors throughout the process.
