Job summary

Mountain America Credit Union is seeking a Retail Mortgage Loan Officer to proactively solicit new residential mortgage loans and promote CU mortgage products. The role focuses on marketing outside the credit union (at least 50%), mentoring junior MLOs, and delivering an exceptional member experience from origination to close.

Requires 2 years of lending experience, mortgage knowledge, and a high school diploma with preferred two-year degree.

Qualifications

• 2 years professional experience in a progressive financial lending setting.
• Mortgage experience preferred.
• Minimum high school diploma; a two-year college degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Identify and develop a network of outside referrals, including real estate agents, builders, and professional contacts.
• Promote home ownership and mortgage lending opportunities through community involvement.
• Process loan applications using Blend and Encompass and coordinate with underwriters.
• Maintain current knowledge of lending programs, policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
