Job summary

Regions Bank in Illinois seeks a Mortgage Loan Officer to direct the origination of residential mortgage loans through a branch network. You will complete applications, evaluate requests, maintain contact with customers, and structure loans to comply with regulations.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• At least 1 year mortgage lending experience with proven production.
• Extensive experience developing external business via referral partners (realtors, builders, planners).
• Bachelor's degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Completes mortgage applications for submission to loan processing and underwriting.
• Evaluates loan requests, analyzes financial data, and determines collateral and credit history.
• Maintains contact with loan customers and communicates progress of loan and needed documents.
• Structures loan to comply with lending practices and federal regulations.
• Develops detailed marketing plans and maintains referral networks.
• Cross-sells other bank products and services.
• Reads surveys and appraisals and addresses issues.
• May network through professional and community organizations to promote loan products.
